The Art of Reading Tаrоt Cards

It is commonly believed that tаrоt cards first appeared between 1430 and 1450 in Milan, Ferrera and Bologna. In 1440 the Duke of Milan wrote a letter that requested the receiver to bring special 'triumph' cards which are believed to be different from the normal playing cards.

Though it has been around since the 15th century, it was only after the late 18th century that Tаrоt reading expanded to divination and guided meditation.

The history of Tаrоt is still unknown and every deck has its own meaning attached to it, however usually most of them follow a story of human life depicting the ups and down and the choices we make, the Origin of tаrоt has the influence of several cultures associated with it primarily the Egyptian( Book of Thoth which was the only book the survive in the burning of libraries has 78 leaves conforming to the doctrines of the ancient Egyptian reiterated in the book by Paul Christian,' The History and Practice of Magic'. The other cultures which also influenced it further were Greek, Romans, Turks and East Indians.

A pack of tаrоt cards has 78 cards in it, The cards are categorized as Major Arcana or Minor Arcana. There are 22 Major Arcana cards which have images like the Fool, the High Priestess and the Devil. The 56 minor arcana cards have images of wands, swords, cups and pentacles instead of spades, clubs, hearts and diamonds found it normal playing cards.

The Major Arcana usually depict major life events and circumstances and the minor Arcana represents the minor day to day events which are represented within the 4 suits.

The answers one gets in the readings work on the basis of law of attraction, Whether you have a question in mind or say it out loud, or whether you ask something but actually are wanting to know something else, the cards that will open will always be in line with what is going on in your head at that point of time.

Your detailed reading also depends on how connected the reader is to the higher beings and the flow of information received from them, a reader who is connected will be able to guide you much better on the readings and what your next course of action should be.

The symbols on the cards conceal a certain meaning which express the reality of the divine world, the intellectual and the physical world. Each Arcanum is a law of human activity and their combination helps us understand the phenomena of life.

Let's look at the meaning of some tаrоt cards to understand them better.

The Fool (Major Arcana) - this card has a man with a small satchel on his shoulder and a dog at his feet. He is looking up to the sky and is about to plunge into an abyss. This man symbolizes faith and optimism. He is taking the leap of faith by believing in his creator and leaving with only a small baggage while his dog, the companion, or things holding us chained on earth, is trying to keep him from jumping.

The High Priestess (Major Arcana) - she is queen like figure sitting on a throne surrounded by opposites such as darkness and light, positive energy and negative energy etc. In her hand is a scroll labelled Torah, which is a religious text indicating her connection with the divine. She tells us that we should follow our instincts and listen to ourselves more than we usually do.

The Devil (Major Arcana) - he appears to be connecting to the world above us while holding his power over our own world. Beneath the devil stand a man and a woman who are completely naked and shackled, however they appear calm. This is because they have been tricked by the devil into material pleasure. He indicates the pettiness in our nature and any trouble that we're facing but have locked away from instead of facing it bravely.

Ace of Wand (Minor Arcana) - it has a picture of a staff which bears leaves. This symbolizes good things and fertility. The staff is so powerful and fertile that leaves are jutting out with force. This card means there will be a wave of positivity in your life.

Two of Pentacles (Minor Arcana) - this card shows a man juggling two pentacles with ease in front of a sea. This symbolizes the choices you make in your life every day and how they could mean new beginnings. The sea behind suggests the ups and downs of life. In all, this card tells you to believe in change and not resist it.

There are various ways of cutting the deck and doing a reading, some of the most common are 1 card or 3 card deck, the Celtic cross or any other reading which the reader and client are comfortable with.

It helps if you are clear in your mind about the question, then you tend to get spot on answers.

You must be wondering how a pack of cards can solve your trouble. But practitioners say that at the end of almost every session, their clients go home satisfied with their doubts cleared.

The Wheel of Fortune

Because I read the Tаrоt inspirationally rather than sticking ridgedly to the letter of the law, I have discovered that depending on the deck you can uncover a wealth of hidden meanings in the cards. However, the meaning of the Wheel of Fortune card is actually very obvious if you care to think about it.

Generally it's considered at a top-level to mean that life has ups and downs and you just have to weather them, and in the case of some of the big things such as bereavement and job losses you do have to do that. But there is so much that you don't have to weather if you will be proactive in your life as opposed to reactive.

The Wheel of Fortune is, of course, a wheel, and like any wheel it can be pushed in the right direction if you have the mind to do so. If The Wheel falls in amongst cards that indicate real life problems that have to be weathered in their own good time, then weather them.

If, however, The Wheel doesn't fall in one of those positions, if for example you're doing your own short Reading to look at a problem or issue, then why not interpret the card as 'time to give fortune a push in the right direction' than believe that you are at the mercy of a capricious and dawdling Universe.

If the time isn't right then a few gentle pushes will show you that nothing is changing, if the time is right those pushes will bring about real change and improvement faster than if you sat indoors waiting for a wheel somewhere to decide that success and abundance are yours for the taking.

As I get more and more experienced with Psychic work I've learned one thing, there is no Universe holding us back, that's the opposite of what that benign and loving power wants.

Even if the absolutely right thing isn't in your immediate future, there is no harm in going out and sourcing something better and creating more happiness and positivity for yourself. Why wait in misery when you can wait with a smile on your face and a spring in your step.

So the next time you see The Wheel in a Reading, if it isn't surrounded by several good reasons to wait life out, go out there and start pushing gently and see what happens.

4 Common Mistakes to Avoid in Tаrоt Interpretation

Tаrоt is a tool used in many different spiritual paths to help the practitioner understand a situation better and offer advice. Using the cards laid out in a "spread" you can begin to get more intimate with the question at hand. Many practitioners start out and read a card for face value or don't look for patterns within the chaos. Today we are going to go over four of the biggest mistakes beginners make when reading a tаrоt spread.

One of the biggest mistakes is that tаrоt will tell the future. Unfortunately the future hasn't been written yet, so we can only use tаrоt to talk about the current path you are on; the things going on in your life in this instance. Tаrоt is a tool that tells our story through depictions and patterns. When you look at a spread, always find a story in the depictions. This leads us to our second biggest mistake.

As stated before when you look at a single card in a certain position within a spread and read it for face value, you are missing the big picture. Ex. When a card comes up in the past position of a three card spread don't interpret the card until you look at the present and future positions. You will find each card takes on a whole new dimensional meaning when brought together with other cards in the spread. This is what tаrоt is about, finding the patterns that are the story within the given spread.

Me like most other practitioners wanted to start out with reading the Celtic Cross spread. This spread has anywhere from 9-12 card positions. Finding a pattern for a beginner in the chaos of this spread is normally way too difficult. Sticking to smaller spreads such as the three card; Past Present and Future, will make your life a lot easier in the long run. As you begin to recognize the patterns between two and three cards you can then more comfortably move into 5-9 card spreads.

Our intuition is the driving force behind all the good decisions we make if we listen to it. This is the third biggest mistake when reading tarot, not listening to your intuition. Your intuition is your gut feeling, the lump in your chest you get when you feel something is right or wrong. When you look at a card, look at the symbols on it and feel what they are saying to you before you open the book and find its' "correct" meaning. This leads to more personal revelations and can provoke the querent as to what information needs to be given. When I read for people I always say "Now were going to have a discussion about your situation based on what the cards tell us." Tаrоt should never be a one way channel. The most talented practitioners use the cards as a tool to converse the meaning of the situation at hand, and offer advice.

Fourthly, but certainly not lastly is the mistake of doing several readings for the same question. This will not make the situation any more clear and you won't get any more answers. The tаrоt will tell you what it needs to with just one spread. If you need clarification you can re-shuffle the deck and ask for clarification on a certain card. Only draw 2-3 cards for clarification. If you choose more than 2-3 cards you will begin to get confused and the tаrоt will contradict itself. Most of the time the best cards to gain more clarification on is the card the represents the person being read for and the outcome of that situation.

Overall, tаrоt is a great tool to use in order to understand a situation and find good advice. Don't be afraid to make mistakes when reading tarot, we can't learn if we don't make mistakes. Always have fun when you are reading even if the topic is serious, often times people need to be made comfortable during a reading so keeping an overall happy facade while reading, this will let them know everything is okay.

Selecting The Best Psychic

Here we show details of how a psychic reader can be multi talented by the profile description and we also show an example review below the profile details, this will help you select the best type of reader for your reading :

I work using Tаrоt cards, animal oracle cards and angel cards. I also use a crystal pendulum. I am clairsentient, clairaudient and clairvoyant. I often give psychic readings by simply tuning into your voice and then relaying the information that comes to me. I start by picking up on your situation and feelings at the time, then look into your past and possible future outcomes. I also tune into situations and people connected to you. I sometimes use numerology to look at your birth date to determine your soul path number, talents and attributes. I can also look into the birth date of partners, family and friends and how you interact with each other. I connect to my guides in spirit and the angelic kingdom.

A review of this reader reads:

This lady is truly gifted. Highly intelligent, very intuative, extremely accurate, and a very warm and kind nature. I would recommend anyone to call this lady, if you want a fast, ACCURATE and in depth reading with very few questions. A thousand stars!!

There is a myth which exists about the use of tаrоt and other tools. These are simply advice methods and are used as a way of concentrating the mind of the mystic, as one highly talented reader with over 17,000 readings rated at 4.5 stars out of 5, by real clients from all walks of life.

She described her skills as:

'I am a naturally gifted psychic and I channel between you, my spirit guides and the Cosmic Tаrоt to look at a picture of the your life. I use the Tаrоt to clarify time scales/star signs and purely provide confirmation. As such the meanings of the cards do not mean anything to me, as I am a psychic rather than a Tаrоt reader. I do not ask any questions whatsoever. I can use my abilities both for relationships and business readings, enabling you to have a competitive advantage in handling future situations.'

If the call of the spiritual readings industry draws you near, I can recommend the following advice for the very best experience:

Opt for a phone psychic reading which will give you off-the-scale choice in terms of readers - remember it is the validity and skill of the reader and not the mode of reading that counts.

Psychic energy can be read over the phone with no barriers - remember spirit has no physical limitations like we do.

Go online for the latest and more innovative choice of spiritual readers and always make sure you read the reviews before selecting one.

Seeking Clarification of Tаrоt Readings

Many individuals who are learning to read the Tаrоt often times become concerned with the accuracy of the interpretation. This is understandable, but also sometimes quite confusing. When doing a reading don't get obsessive over the meaning and outcome of the reading. That may sound like a contradiction in terms but really it's not if you truly stop for a moment and think about it.

When doing a reading the influences that are surrounding you or the individual getting a reading are only there for a short period of time. Our thoughts, actions, decisions and numerous other elements and influences change the flow of things in our life literally in the blink of an eye. While keeping that in mind, don't obsess over a reading you did 3 months ago and still haven't figured out it's meaning. If that's the case, you're most likely missing the point all together.

The Tаrоt is a means of guidance, a glimpse of how things are fairing in your environment and life and what things are currently affecting you in some way. Sometimes this can be something from the past that still is unresolved but is still needing to be dealt with or it would not keep coming up for you to experience.

While that may be true, keep in mind that the guidance is only useful at the given time of the reading. Sure it may apply for several days or even months but it's not intended to be an exactness of what to expect. It is a mere glimpse of what is occurring or may occur if elements, influences and conditions continue as they are at that given moment of consulting the cards.

They are meant in a literal sense that the outcome is not set in stone as you or the one receiving the reading can alter the outcome by changes in thinking, actions, attitudes, behaviors, etc. I know that it is very challenging trying to learn the Tаrоt and yet at the same time feel completely overwhelmed by the meanings and accuracy.

Although there are tons of resources available on the individual card meanings they do change per individual based upon the unique circumstances so take into consideration that whatever comes to mind while seeing each card is what you should be paying the most attention to despite what the books say. Trusting your intuition is far more accurate than that of another's opinion on the matter.

The point is, yes you can reflect on the card reading for a few days if need be; but after that the information is basically useless as circumstances, energies, influences and elements have all changed since the reading was last done. So in that case, if you're still needing clarification, pull one card asking for it to clarify what you are needing to acknowledge and learn from the previous reading and whatever card comes up intuitively get a feel for the card first before moving on to see what the books have to say.

Stop brow beating yourself to death over trying to figure out the meaning. The main purpose of the Tаrоt is not just for guidance and a glimpse but also to teach you to be in tune with your innermost self and intuition. The more you allow yourself to listen to your inner voice and intuitive promptings the quicker the whole concept of Tаrоt will become easier for you to understand.

Trust me, let down your fear of being wrong and just allow yourself simply to be with your cards and listen to what impressions are coming forth for you to ponder. And some questions, there are no clear answers for a reason. Often times that is because we are either not intended to know at that given time or our focus is on something that isn't truly in our best interest. So be sensible with your questions and trust your intuition to guide the process.

Once you overcome these beginning challenges you will find it much easier to understand their associated meanings, as well as, be more confident in your approach and abilities. It's a process, allow it to unfold.

The Wheel of Fortune - Where Will Its Spin Take You?

If you can make one heap of all your winnings, and risk it on one turn of pitch and toss - would you dare? In truth, most of us wouldn't! We're much too grounded and sensible, no matter how seductively Kipling's words might tug at our heartstrings.

So when The Wheel of Fortune appears in your Tаrоt reading, you can save yourself from any dark notion of being seduced into playing Russian roulette with your life savings! It's significance is far simpler than that; it merely wants to remind us that progress is generally inevitable, and so for much of the time, nothing we can say or do will impact greatly on future outcomes. Some typical meanings include:

Watch out for unexpected opportunities
Remember, the sky's the limit
You made your bed, so lie in it!
Seize opportunities when you can
Because so much of life is beyond our control, we need to learn how to discriminate. There are many times when, although we might not be able to change what's about to happen, we can change which path we choose to travel down - and therefore radically alter how specific events impact upon our lives, not to mention the lives of others!

Far too often, we fail to make sensible choices, choosing instead to allow people to lead us off in the wrong direction, even when we're aware they don't have our best interests at heart. The Wheel of Fortune reminds us that, whilst there is much we cannot change, there is still plenty we can influence - and we have only ourselves to blame if we fall short in the sacred duty of safeguarding our own best interests!

As with every Tаrоt card in any given reading, the meaning is determined by its position within the spread, the surrounding cards and the nature of any inquiry. All these factors need to be carefully analyzed.

In many ways, the tenth card from Tarot's Greater Arcana is a true wild card, because its meanings fluctuate all the way from necessity, probability and inevitability through to generosity, debt and downright drunkenness!

But when The Wheel of Fortune shows up in an outcome position, it inevitably means que sera sera - that whatever will be will be. And when this occurs, you already know, deep down, what it's telling you. That the consequences of allowing yourself to be so easily led down all those tempting, easy paths are coming back to haunt you - and so unless you get a grip and act decisively, then your worst fears are certain to bear fruit!

Judgement - A Hard Card To Avoid?

As an archangel blows ominously upon his golden trumpet, the naked masses fling open their arms beneath him, appealing anxiously for mercy. Their big day has finally come, and there are no more last chances to be grasped at! Those who've failed to impress will soon know their fate, as everyone receives their final Judgement...

Apart from being an obvious source of illustrative inspiration, the penultimate card in Tarot's greater arcana is borrowing nothing from the Bible. Because this card has precious little to do with the afterlife, but plenty to do with rehabilitation, healing and awakening in the here and now! Some typical meanings within your Tаrоt spread can include:

An end to a long-running unpleasantness
A significant change of heart
Relationships becoming intense
A chance to make improvements
Perhaps more than anything else, this card signifies transformation, which most of the time makes it a terrific influence. This might involve advice to become far less self-critical, or somebody walking into your life who will prove a strong, influential and dynamic force!

It cautions that, whilst patience is very often the key to success, laziness can never be a virtue! To the contrary, the influence of Judgement is to feed strong drives within us, forcing us to push onwards in search of developments that will lead to real, tangible changes that bring substantial benefits.

As with all the cards in every Tаrоt reading, it's vital you take into account its position within your spread. Along with the influence of the surrounding cards, this is how we learn its specific meaning.

And be careful! Bear in mind that the strong, transformative energies that Judgement brings to your Tаrоt reading are by no means always positive. Fanaticism, intolerance and self-righteousness all lurk within this potent card's aura. Powerful influences often manage to exist happily unhindered by morality. Don't forget that Hitler died believing history would vindicate him!

This is also a bad card for those involved in legal disputes - in such matters, it tends to warn of an impending loss. It can also act as a final warning: 'Take this chance to improve matters,' it implores, 'Because if you don't, then you'll never get another!'

Overall though, Judgement is a positive card. It helps us to examine our consciences, and signifies good publicity, favourable outcomes and an unexpected promotion at work.

Lastly, if our career is stalling, it encourages us to emigrate and find new pastures! There's nearly always far more good than evil flowing from its strong, transformative influences - and when this isn't the case, then we tend to know why!
